What is raw veganism?

You might wonder what the raw vegan food actually is. Raw food is all food such as vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts which has not been processed (uncooked fresh food). Raw food is food in its natural form and state. It can be warmed up until 48°C which is the maximum temperature allowed to be applied, in order for the food to be referred to as "raw."

Why is it important to eat raw food?

Fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds contains all the important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which help your body fight oxidation and decay. Our cells are constantly being rebuild through what we put in our mouth every day. We are all organic beings who do need enzymes from fresh fruits and vegetables to support our digestion and immune system. Through cooking, many enzymes are killed and that is why we need to receive these through our diet. Every single organ is being built and re-built through our diet, there is no question about that. Every single cell of our body is a building block. Tissues are built from cells, then organs are built from tissues. The health is achieve on the cellular level. Our cells are constantly excreting and receiving matter. The body is always trying to clean and regenerate itself to achieve the right pH balance - it is trying to get rid of acidity, which is often caused by processed food products and environmental pollution. Raw foods facilitate cleaning and strengthen our cells by providing nutrients to them. Raw fruits such as lemons, oranges and blueberries contain a high amount of anti-oxidants which is what enables our bodies to keep the healthy balance, to keep our system clean. A clogged system cannot function properly and that is when we experience fatigue and low energy! A car with wrong fuel will not get far, will it?

We are what we eat. Literally. If we eat the right foods, we are able to build a strong immune system which will prevent us from getting sick. Raw foods give us nutrition and energy which no other food does. It is because it not only provides huge amounts of vitamins and minerals, but it is also high in water content. Our bodies are made out of 70% water! This is an average as babies will have around 80% water. Does not it make a total sense to eat lots of fresh food?

Raw fruits and veggies contain around 70-95% of water! Many long terms raw foodists do not feel the need to drink 2l of water because they get so much from their food! Eat your water ;) You will feel the energy you have never felt before.
